Interior: pages age toned, occasional light spotting, foxing and staining, front endpaper is lacking, small fragment of paper adhered to title page (originating from top blank margin of frontispiece).
Exterior: Contemporary half calf, spine in 6 compartments with decorative motifs, gilt. Black title label to spine lettered in gilt. Some wear and rubbing to calf. Joints and extremities rubbed.

Larger 8vo. London: Cassell, Petter, and Galpin.

A handsome binding.
