Plates all present and as called for, engraved title pages to both volumes.
Interior: Sporadic spotting and foxing throughout both volumes. Circular staining to plates in volume 1, spotting to plates in both volumes, a few closed tears to plates- without loss. A few closed tears- without loss to text. Horizontal tear to page 404 – volume 2 (without loss to text). Front endpaper, frontispiece and engraved title page detached but present.
Exterior: Red, contemporary straight grain, half morocco. Wear to boards, rubbing and wear to morocco, corners bumped.
